Beating the school holiday boredom
Kids love the school holidays, and children in the Southern Riverina have had plenty of opportunities to keep busy during the two week winter break.
There have been popular activities at the Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club, with a different one to enjoy every day last week.
Craft classes, movies, talent show, cooking classes, a kids disco and even a junior spa day featured in the schedule.
Today, the fun continues with a biscuit decorating day, followed by a mini Olympics tomorrow, and craft classes and a viewing of popular Disney film Moana on Friday.
All activities are free. Call the club for more details on 5874 9111.
At Biralee Preschool’s Out of School Hours program, the youngsters have been lucky enough to travel outside to Melbourne to see Disney on Ice, and also visit the Big Strawberry in Koonoomoo.
Last week the youngsters tried out new things including making their own pasta from scratch and even designed and built their own skateboards.
This Friday there’s an international theme with Mexican cuisine and activities.
