Last chance to sign up for charity golf and bowls day
The Berrigan Community Golf & Bowling Club will host a charity Golf & Bowls day this Sunday, with all proceeds going to Motor Neurone Disease and drought relief.
The morning will start at 10am with a nine hole, 3 person Ambrose Par 3 course.
Once the golf is finished you will head to the bowls green and play two games of eight ends, three bowls triples.
It will be draw for teams, and the same team will play golf and bowls.
Entry is $20 per team, which includes a barbecue lunch.

This promises to be a great community day and is for all ages, and everyone is encouraged to get behind this great cause.
Dawmac is hosting another Barbecue Fundraiser in support of the McGrath Foundation.
It will be held this Friday in the Dawmac driveway on Chanter St.
The menu includes both beef and chicken sausages, bacon and egg rolls and drinks.

The Berrigan Community Garden is looking amazing.
The committee has been harvesting broccoli, spinach, silver beet, lettuce, kale and parsley.
Take a walk and see what you can pick for your dinner, or join the group on Wednesdays at 1.30pm or Saturday mornings at 9.30am.
Membership is growing, and is only $5 per person.
Forms can be picked up from BookinChanters or at the garden. All proceeds from membership go towards purchasing seeds, seedlings, seasol and many other items.
Kids Fest will be on again this year, on Tuesday, October 23 from 4pm to 6pm.
There will be a farewell dinner for Mark Rooney at the Berrigan Community Club this Sunday at 6pm.
All golf and bowls members and friends are welcome to farewell Mark.
There will be a Chinese dinner available at your own cost.
The community was saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Kortum two weeks ago.
Sympathy is extended to Chris, Mandy and Pip Kortum and the extended Kortum family on his passing.
Jimmy’s funeral was held on October 5 and he was laid to rest at the Berrigan Lawn Cemetery.
The Berrigan and Oaklands communities were saddened to hear of the passing of Vic Bonat last Tuesday.
Vic is survived by his wife Eileen and children Maria, Paulette and Brent.
Vic and Eileen retired to Berrigan from Oaklands and, with Vic’s long association of 35 years at West Corurgan, were known to many from around the district.
Vic’s funeral was held last Saturday and he was laid to rest at the Berrigan Lawn Cemetery.

Please save the date for the Christmas Market Night/Carols on Friday, December 7.
This year the carols will also be held on the same night as the market night.
There will be stalls, the Red Cross Extravaganza and plenty of entertainment for the children.
