Home in time for the new year

Southern Riverina news - - NEWS - Beth Beresford

To use a popular phrase of today; OMG, what a feast!

Graeme and I finally got down to Wollongong for Christmas and our first activity was a special treat from my darling dad who I will introduce to you all next edition.

So, the feast. We had lunch at the Lagoon Seafood restaurant and what a treat it was!

When anyone asks ‘don't you miss the beaches in Wollongong?’ my quick answer is a definite ‘no, I miss the fresh fish, and my family’.

So fresh fish was included in just about every meal.

On a bit of a downer though, we couldn't get back to Finley when planned due to a bit of a medical emergency.

Thankfully is is now resolved and our soon-to-be grandson and his mum are safe.

We arrived home on New Year’s Eve for the beginning of another year.

Come on Finley, let’s get moving and have a great one.

The Finley Follies are now in recess but are eagerly awaiting Tuesday, January 8 to get started again.

Members will meet at 10am in the Finley War Memorial Hall.

Any enquires please call Faye Stubbs on 0467 972 875.

To all my regulars, please start getting your dates to me and let me know if you would like me to visit for stories and photos.

Please try and give me at least a day’s warning.

If you would like something included in ‘From Finley’ this year, please call me on 0401 318 263 or email bethfromfin[email protected]
