Swim­ming les­sons are into the sec­ond week and the weather has been su­perb for the les­sons.

A great turn up by fam­i­lies has been very en­cour­ag­ing for the swim in­struc­tors. Les­sons will fin­ish to­mor­row.

Aqua ex­er­cises are also be­ing con­ducted at the pool ev­ery Fri­day, 6pm to 7pm . All wel­come.

Free gen­tle ex­er­cises are held ev­ery Mon­day and Wednes­day from 10.15am to 11am at the Madill Cen­tre.

The Ber­ri­gan Com­mu­nity Club will be cel­e­brat­ing Aus­tralia Day.

There will be en­ter­tain­ment pro­vided by Mark Haze from 6pm to 10pm.

Book a ta­ble and en­joy a great night out and sup­port the lo­cal club.

Ber­ri­gan Shire Coun­cil Busi­ness Awards nom­i­na­tions are now open.

The Ber­ri­gan CWA Aus­tralia Day Break­fast will be held on Satur­day, Jan­uary 26 at the CWA Hall from 7.30am to 9.30am. The Co­bram Pipe Band will be play­ing. Cost for the break­fast is $15 which in­cludes a raf­fle ticket.

A re­minder to all CWA mem­bers there is a meet­ing at the hall on Mon­day, Jan­uary 21 at 10am to or­gan­ise the Aus­tralia Day morn­ing.

The Ber­ri­gan Com­mu­nity Gar­den is go­ing well and sur­viv­ing the hot con­di­tions.

We have trom­bone zuc­chi­nis, cu­cum­bers, egg­plant, green and yel­low zuc­chi­nis, shal­lots, small squash and herbs to add to sal­ads ready to be picked.

You can pick what you like for a small do­na­tion.
