Fin­ley wo­man bit­ten by dog

A Fin­ley wo­man has es­caped from a sur­prise dog at­tack with mi­nor in­juries.

About 7.25am on Sun­day, the lady was walk­ing her dog along Deni­son St.

Po­lice al­lege a man was mov­ing his three larger dogs from his back­yard to his ute at the time she was walk­ing past, and the dogs ran to­wards the wo­man’s smaller dog.

In an at­tempt to avoid an at­tack, the wo­man picked up her dog as one of the larger dogs ap­proached.

The owner of the three big dogs helped to con­trol them.

The wo­man suf­fered small bite marks and scratches and was taken to Fin­ley Hos­pi­tal, while the small dog sus­tained an in­jury on the leg.

The in­ci­dent is now in the hands of the Ber­ri­gan Shire ranger.

Po­lice have is­sued a 16 year-old Seaford res­i­dent with a drug cau­tion un­der the Young Of­fend­ers Act.

Po­lice were called to a Tocumwal car­a­van park af­ter an ar­gu­ment be­tween a group of peo­ple about 12.40am on Satur­day.

Af­ter speak­ing with sev­eral peo­ple po­lice found a small plas­tic bag of cannabis on the floor.
