New RSC chef
Finley RS Club has a new catering manager and head chef.
Tim Picker (pictured) has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 35 years. He has trained in fine dining in Sydney and worked at hotels and resorts along the Queensland coast.
He moved from Sydney to work at the Cobram Hotel six years ago and also worked with KAF Fruit Supply in Cobram.
‘‘I planning to move (the menu) away from fried food and include salads and grilled items,’’ Mr Picker said.
‘‘I want to remove the stigma often associated with RSL food and ensure customers are enjoying home cooked style meals. It won’t happen overnight so we’ll slowly transition into the new menu and we will still keep our special nights available for our loyal customers.’’
