Love is in the ‘Care’
Love was in the air at Finley Regional Care for Valentine’s Day on Thursday.
Residents were treated to a day of fun including singing and even vintage cars on display.
There was a romantic feeling in the activities room, decked out with roses, doves and chocolate hearts.
Activities co-ordinator Wendy Sutton said the residents ‘‘loved’’ the day.
‘‘The cars were parked on Hamilton Street and some residents were lucky enough to go for a drive.
‘‘In the afternoon we had Valentine’s Day afternoon tea and Danny Wark played music for an hour.
‘‘Unfortunately Cupid didn’t turn up, he was ill,’’ Mrs Sutton said with a laugh.
‘‘We also served special heart shaped cheesecake for afternoon tea.’’
