Swimming stars make a splash
St. Columba’s Primary School held its swimming carnival last Friday night.
In ideal swimming conditions, students participated in a great manner and enjoyed the evening. The trophy winners were as follows: Junior Boy Champion - Lachlan Whelan; Junior Girl Champion - Willow Laing; 11 Years Boy Champion - Kye Laing; Senior Boy Champion - Finlay Laing; Champion Male Swimmer - Lachlan Whelan; Champion Female Swimmer - Willow Laing.
International Women’s Day is fast approaching and the speaker for this year will be Glenna Thomson who has written two books.
The luncheon will be on Friday, March 8 starting at midday.

The netball season is up and running and with the new courts the committee is looking forward to seeing juniors and seniors using this great facility.

Under 15s training will start tomorrow night from 4pm, for further information contact Michelle on 0474 133 310.
Senior trials will start at 6pm on Tuesday, February 26, with other trials held on Thursday, February 28 and Thursday, March 7.
All girls wanting to play in the 2019 season are expected to come to the trials.
The next meeting of the Berrigan Races is fast approaching, with punters set for a day at the racecourse on Saturday, March 16.
There will Fashions on the Field including Lady of the Day, Couple of the Day, Little Racegoer and Young Racegoer.
Children’s entertainment, jumping castle and face painting and live music will be played throughout the day.
Marquee and Umbrella packages are available or you can book a table in the reserved marquee.

The BDDA will be hosting a ‘Welcome to Berrigan’ barbecue at the Berrigan Community Club on Sunday, April 28.
If you have moved to the area in the last two years you are invited to come and enjoy a meal, meet new people and find out what services are available in Berrigan.

World Day of Prayer for this year will be hosted by St. Aidan's Anglican Church, Berrigan at 10am on Friday, March 1. Guest speaker this year is Iris Miles. Slovenia is the country which has prepared this service and the theme is ‘Come - Everything is Ready’.
Everyone is welcome so we hope that you will come along and join in the prayer.
Morning tea will be served in the church after the service.
The next social day on the golf course will be a three person ambrose competition on Sunday, March 10.
The committee would like to see the business houses playing and are encouraged to organise a team of three.
There will be lots of prizes to be won and a great social day will be had by all.
