Creativity on show
Chelsea Winn and Charlie Simpson are among the Murrumbidgee Council area's top young creative thinkers.
Each won a first prize in the council's Youth Week art competition, which had the theme of ‘ISO Life’.
Chelsea won the media competition for her A Day In The Life video.
Second was Travis Lawton’s
Film.
Charlie won the artwork category with a photo he titled ‘Business as usual’.
Justin Lawton’s ‘Can Tractor’ was runnerup.
Chelsea and Charlie both won Beats by Dre headphones, while Travis and Justin won a wildlife encounter voucher to redeem at Altina Wildlife Park.

competitions, said the standard of entries made choosing winners ‘‘incredibly difficult’’.
‘‘The entrants for the ‘ISO life’ creative arts competition put so much thought and effort into their entries,’’ she said.
‘‘It’s fantastic to see that our youth have so much drive and passion.
‘‘These artworks will be an invaluable vinyl, hybrid, carpet, timber, shutters and blinds,’’ co-owner Darren Sharp said.
‘‘It gets extremely cold here in winter so we provide the best service possible to ensure residents are comfortable in their homes.’’

Mr Sharp and his wife Rochelle purchased the flooring business in October 2009.
Mr Sharp measures and lays all the flooring, while Mrs Sharp runs the shop with assistance from Kerry Osborn.

Cr McRae said the council also received a fantastic response to the colouring competition, with nearly 40 entries.
‘‘We thank you for all sharing your creativity, while we stayed at home.’’
Colouring competition winners, who each received a shop local voucher, were: 4 and under – Agnes Bruton and Jobe Marshall; 5-6 year-olds – Olivia Hardy and Willow Pound; 7-8 year-olds – Zavier Rorato and Tom Demamiel; 9-10 year-olds – Chloe Demamiel and Baxta Demamiel; 11-12 yearolds – Kizzi Moore and Maggie Maynard; 13-15 year-olds – Travis Lawton and Reagan Cullen.
The competitions were developed when traditional Youth Week activities had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
