Chamber to continue after hours events

-

The Finley Chamber of Commerce hosted a successful night of networking and new ideas at its recent ‘Business after hours’ event.

At the Finley Workspace, a range of diverse community members turned up for an evening of business themed socialising.

Australian Rural Woman of the Year Jo Palmer shared a speech, thoughts and complementary nibbles with attendees.

Chamber member Jane Harris said the night was such a success, plans for another one are already in the pipeline.

‘‘It was a great opportunity for people to meet, talk and discuss business,’’ Mrs Harris said.

‘‘We haven’t actually set the details, but we hope our next event might be ‘women in business’.

‘‘Hopefully we’ll have some more details and a special guest confirmed soon.’’

More generally, the exciting Finley

Workspace has had an influx of interest since the night.

‘‘We have received a couple of extra bookings and more people have started using the space, now that they know it is there,’’ Mrs Harris said.

‘‘In terms of the workspace, Jo (Palmer) said it was brilliant to see chamber and council working together, and that it’s an incredible offering to have a workspace in a community like ours. It may even be the linchpin that attracts families to the area.’’
