The Community Garden still has beautiful fresh beans, Chinese cabbage and silverbeet to be picked for a small donation.

There is also a range of succulent plants for sale.

Working bees are held Wednesdays at 1.30pm and Saturdays at 9am or 9.30am. New members always welcome.

Do you like olives? You can pick your own on Momalong St (on way out to cemetery). The olives are edible, they just need to be brined.

This is a Berrigan Conservati­on and Tidy Towns group initiative.

The Berrigan Conservati­on, Tidy Town & Community Garden meeting is tonight at the RSL rooms, 7pm. Come along and join us.

Berrigan Red Cross will be attending St Columba’s church service on Sunday, May 23 to celebrate World Red Cross Day. The service starts at 10am, and will be followed by light refreshmen­ts.

The next Red Cross meeting is Wednesday, May 19 at 2pm, in the shop meeting room.

During May, Bowel Scan kits are available from the Berrigan Pharmacy. Stocks are limited so please call into the pharmacy if you require a kit.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Mother’s Day CWA street stall last Friday. The beautiful painting by Marnie Steer was won by Tish Gorman and the perfectly hand turned wooden bowl, donated by May Hill, was won by Matt Hansen.

The Berrigan and District Developmen­t Associatio­n would like to invite you to a lunch at the Berrigan Community Golf and Bowls Club for a free, friendly barbecue to meet new residents as well as locals on Sunday, July 4.

Hosted by the BDDA president John Lane, this is an event where you meet and greet and discover what Berrigan has to offer.

The Berrigan Football and Netball Club will be holding its annual ball this Saturday. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased on Thursday night at the clubrooms.

The Townies vs Farmers 4BBB Stableford golf event will be held Sunday, May 30. All handicap and non handicap players are welcome to participat­e.
