Blighty’s season comes to an end with defeats

Blighty’s run in the Picola Football Netball League finals series has come to an end, with both the under 17s netballers and fourths footballers eliminated.

But congratulations to both teams for making it to the top eight.

The under-17s netballers played well in extremely wet conditions at Jerilderie on Saturday, with the final result not reflecting the game.

The girls created the necessary space and worked on passages of play that resulted in goals, but Katandra were just too good on the day.

Final score: Blighty 16 def by Katandra 43.

The fourths footballers’ hard work and determination put them into the finals at Berrigan on Sunday.

With us playing Katunga we sought redemption from the week before, unfortunately we couldn't come away with the win.

We could not fault the effort and endeavour that all players put in for the game.
