Under-17s bow out of finals

Season 2022 has come to an end for Tocumwal’s netballers.

The under-17s were the last hope for the club in finals, and were eliminated from finals after a 57-30 defeat at the hands of Waaia at the weekend.

Unfortunately, you didn’t come away with the win but you all should be very proud of what you have achieved throughout the season.

Full credit to Waaia, they came out in force and got the jump on us in the first quarter.

In the middle two quarters, all players rebounded well and worked extremely hard as a team.

We faded in the last quarter while our opponents continued to work hard.

As reflected in the hard-fought game, over the past six months you have all grown as players with many of you playing multiple senior games.

The club is extremely proud of you all and next year is already looking exciting.

Enjoy your break over the next couple of months and be ready for a ripper preseason.
