Public invited to centre’s opening

- Tocumwal Leonie Cardillo

For those who have been excited to watch the construction progress, Tocumwal’s Little Explorers are inviting our community to an informal open day at the new, purpose-built childcare centre on Jerilderie Street, Tocumwal.

The doors will open to the public on Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

What a great opportunity for those who are interested in exploring the new centre, and talking about the exciting upcoming program.

If you are bringing children with you, please make sure they are supervised.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the facility and was amazed at the transformation that has taken place.

It is obvious that a huge amount of hard work has gone into the design and construction of the centre, which will have 68 places available for children aged six weeks-old to school age.

These places are much needed in our community, and will be warmly welcomed by many families.

Congratulations to Donna Boaden and Steph Chappell on creating such a wonderful asset for our community - you truly have thought of everything. •••

The Tocumwal Ambulance Steering Committee (TASC) wishes to advise that due to other project goals of the Tocumwal Lions Club, it has decided to no longer be a part of the Tocumwal Ambulance Steering Committee.

The TASC thanks them for all of their support over the years.

Tocumwal Ambulance Steering Committee is in discussions with another local group who may come on board and offer a similar type of support to the group.

The committee meets monthly. Any members of the community who wish to join the TSAC are asked to call chairperson Sandra Williams on 0458 788 031.
