Janine has been a tireless volunteer for the football and netball club and it is great that she has received this recognition.

The Berrigan Hospital Auxiliary held its monthly meeting on Monday, August 22. Its upcoming street stall on September 16 was discussed, and the first prize will be a crockpot.
One of the group’s main fundraisers will be the Melbourne Cup luncheon, to be held at the Community Club on Melbourne Cup Day. Prizes on the day will include a lucky door prize, best dressed lady and the best hat of the day. There will be more information to come in the following weeks.

On Friday, the Uniting Church held a street stall in aid of Frontier Services and a huge amount of $950 was raised. The members of our church would like to thank all those wonderful people who supported the stall and made donations. The raffle winner was Renee Paine, who then donated it on.

The Berrigan Conservation & Tidy Town Group working bee is this coming Sunday, from 9am to 11am. The meeting point is outside the caravan park in the Wayside Rest Area at 9am. There is plenty of work to be done at the Police Paddock, Old Recreational Ground and Tank Paddock.
There will need to be mowing, whipper snipping, picking up rubbish, Box Thorn removal and a general spring tidy up. All welcome.
The next meeting of the Berrigan Conservation & Tidy Town Group is next Wednesday from 7pm at the RSL Sub-branch rooms in Jerilderie St. This meeting also covers activities of the community garden group. Everyone is welcome to attend.
