Community turns out for show comps
Show goers came dressed in their finery for the Finley Show on Father’s Day, but it wasn’t just for a nice day out.
Many of them were there to contest the traditional junior show goer competitions, and a few adults jumped in on judging the action too.
The Finley Show Society were proud to announce their Young Woman 2022 entrant on show day, with Lauren Clarke awarded the honour.
Formerly known as Miss Showgirl, the AgShows Young Woman is designed to develop regional young women, to benefit the individual, the local show society, and their communities.
Lauren will represent the Finley Show Society at zone finals, with the winner to go on to the Sydney Royal Show and state competition.
In her new role on Sunday, Lauren was on hand to help to present awards, and help with the junior judging.
Lady of the Day was awarded to Melissa Kennedy, and Father of the Day was Michael Tooke.
