Spring wild­flower walk high­lights city’s nat­u­ral beauty in all its glory

Take a walk on the wild side this spring with a guided tour of the wild­flower re­serve in Kwinana.

Once again, the City of Kwinana is of­fer­ing the chance to dis­cover the beauty of wild­flow­ers in the city’s backyard.

Ex­pert guides from the Mur­doch branch of the Wild­flower So­ci­ety will take peo­ple on an ad­ven­ture through the bush to un­cover spe­cial na­tive plants and bask in the beauty of their nat­u­ral sur­rounds.

Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the guided walks of­fered the op­por­tu­nity to learn about our beau­ti­ful nat­u­ral bush­land and see it in a new light.

“We can easily be­come com­pla­cent about the beauty of the area in which we live,” she said. “This guided walk gives ev­ery­one the op­por­tu­nity to en­joy and ap­pre­ci­ate the di­ver­sity of the flora within Kwinana.”

The Wild­flower Walk will take place on Sun­day, Septem­ber 20, at 10am. Walk­ers will meet at the eastern end of San­dring­ham Park, Orelia.
