Spring wildflower walk highlights city’s natural beauty in all its glory
Take a walk on the wild side this spring with a guided tour of the wildflower reserve in Kwinana.
Once again, the City of Kwinana is offering the chance to discover the beauty of wildflowers in the city’s backyard.
Expert guides from the Murdoch branch of the Wildflower Society will take people on an adventure through the bush to uncover special native plants and bask in the beauty of their natural surrounds.
Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the guided walks offered the opportunity to learn about our beautiful natural bushland and see it in a new light.
“We can easily become complacent about the beauty of the area in which we live,” she said. “This guided walk gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the diversity of the flora within Kwinana.”
The Wildflower Walk will take place on Sunday, September 20, at 10am. Walkers will meet at the eastern end of Sandringham Park, Orelia.
