Southern Telegraph - - News -

Householders in parts of Golden Bay and Secret Harbour can now connect to faster broadband, since the official NBN switch-on last week.

An NBN spokeswoman said more than 570 homes and businesses in parts of the suburbs now had access to the service, since the latest switch-on along Warnbro Sound Avenue, bordered in the north by Secret Harbour Boulevard and in the south by Blue Fin Drive.

She said construction of NBN infrastructure for about 21,800 homes in Rockingham, including parts of Cooloongup, East Rockingham, Hillman, Peron, Rockingham, Safety Bay, Shoalwater and Waikiki, was expected to start in the first half of 2016.

Residents in the two suburbs are encouraged to contact their preferred phone company and internet service provider to connect their home or business to services over the NBN.
