Garage Sale Trail grows longer

Southern Telegraph - - News -

The national Garage Sale Trail sustainability campaign is coming to Kwinana this month and more than 30 sales have registered so far.

The trail hopes for a record number or events this year and will be held across Australia on October 24.

It was founded in 2010 and has grown from one event in Sydney to a national program powered by more than 150 local councils.

There are currently almost 6000 sales registered across the country.

City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said there would be plenty of bargains up for grabs.

“While it’s set to be a fun-filled day, it’s also an opportunity to reconsider what we think of as waste,” she said.

The City of Rockingham City has also had a good response, with 84 registered garages sales putting them in the number two spot for WA.

Register your garage sale for free at garagesaletrail.com.au and shoppers can visit the site to plan their day.
