Guests gath­ered at United Cine­mas in Rock­ing­ham on Thurs­day for an af­ter­noon tea with a dif­fer­ence.

Vis­i­tors to the Leghorn Street com­plex en­joyed de­li­cious savoury and sweet treats ahead of a spe­cial pre­sen­ta­tion from Breast Screen WA’s Leanne Pilk­ing­ton.

Ms Pilk­ing­ton said it was im­por­tant for women of all ages to un­der- stand the risk fac­tors and myths sur­round­ing breast can­cer, the need for mam­mog­ra­phy and breast aware­ness.

Cin­ema man­ager Car­o­line Wong said the event had be­come some­thing of an an­nual tra­di­tion.

She said guests also en­joyed pe­rus­ing stalls from Nutrimet­ics, Pure In­dul­gence and Pure Ro­mance.
