Teachers are ‘heart and soul’

Southern Telegraph - - News -

As schools across Australia celebrate World Teachers’ Day, Brand MLA MHR Gary Gray said the Labor Party joins with parents, students and the broader community to thank all educators for their invaluable work.

“Each and every teacher should be recognised for their dedication to giving the children of Rockingham, Kwinana and Mandurah the brightest future possible,” he said.

“From early childhood to school, vocational education, and university, our hard-working teachers are the heart and soul of Australia’s education system.

“Every day teachers inspire students and every day they change lives. Teaching can be a challenging profession, but it is also incredibly rewarding.”

Mr Gray said teachers had the privilege and responsibility for shaping the next generation.

He said government and the community had a responsibility to respect and support teachers in return.
