Spoilt for choice at big party

Chil­dren flocked to Medina in droves last week to en­joy a fun­filled day at the Al­coa Chil­dren’s Party.

The City of Kwinana ini­tia­tive at­tracted record num­bers with an es­ti­mated 5000 peo­ple at­tend­ing the event on Oc­to­ber 27.

As part of Na­tional Chil­dren’s Week, the an­nual event for un­der5s de­liv­ered its prom­ise of fun, gig­gles and games with an eclec­tic mix of free ac­tiv­i­ties.

Par­ents and chil­dren were spoilt for choice, with a bouncy cas­tle, card­board city with ro­bots tea party, aqua bumper boats and other at­trac­tions in­clud­ing face paint­ing and an­i­mal en­coun­ters.

The City’s Healthy Life­styles team handed out free fruit and wa­ter dur­ing the day to keep the chil­dren happy and hy­drated as they ex­plored the event.
