Cy­clists set off on epic 450km ride to help sick kids

A group of cy­clists have be­gun a four day, 450km chal­lenge across the South West to raise funds for the Ron­ald McDon­ald House Char­i­ties.

Ride For Sick Kids WA has re­turned for its fourth year, and a ded­i­cated group of 30 vol­un­teers in­clud­ing an ac­coun­tant, a car­pen­ter, an AFL com­men­ta­tor and six lo­cal McDon­ald’s li­censees will hit the road.

Be­gin­ning in Mar­garet River to­day, the group will stop at towns along the way in­clud­ing Au­gusta, Yallingup, Duns­bor­ough and Man­durah, be­fore fin­ish­ing in Perth on Novem­ber 21.

RMCH ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Peter King said the Ride For Sick Kids WA had raised over $21,000 this year and fundrais­ing would con­tinue un­til the end of Jan­uary 2016.
