Art ex­hi­bi­tion set to make a Splash

Those with a flair for art are invit­ing the com­mu­nity to splash in and see a new ex­hi­bi­tion.

Mem­bers of Rock­ing­ham Re­gional Arts group have been busy cre­at­ing a range of works for the first of two events to be held this year and are look­ing for­ward to show­ing it off soon.

The ex­hi­bi­tion en­ti­tled Splash will be held at the Gary Hol­land Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Kent Street and be­gins on April 7.

Rock­ing­ham Re­gional Arts sec­re­tary El­iz­a­beth Law said a mix of art would be on display in­clud­ing a 3D sculp­ture fea­ture.

“There will be some very in­ter­est­ing art­works this year, we are look­ing for­ward to see­ing what artists do with this theme,” she said.

“Vis­i­tors will be de­lighted with the va­ri­ety of 2D art works ex­e­cuted in a va­ri­ety of medi­ums from acrylics, oils and wa­ter­colours.”

The ex­hi­bi­tion will be open daily from 10am to 4pm un­til April 18.
