Man to face court on child sex charges
A Baldivis man who allegedly hung around playgrounds and fast-food restaurants across Perth’s south to talk to children has been charged with 15 child sex offences.
Armadale Detectives set up a mobile police van at Trusty Park in Baldivis in February to talk to children who had spoken to the man.
Police will allege the 58-year-old man visited fastfood outlets, park playground areas and shopping centres across Perth’s southern suburbs between 2013 and 2017.
He has been charged with one count of an indecent act, seven counts of being near a public place as a child sex offender and seven counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13 years.
He will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court on May 17.
