Chemist now offers flu vaccinations
Leading pharmacy group Terry White Chemists Rockingham is expecting to double the number of flu vaccinations it administers this flu season, with members of the public now able to access flu vaccinations in pharmacies throughout Australia for the first time.
Terry White Chemists Rockingham has specially trained and accredited pharmacists available and is excited to be able to administer the vaccinations to the local community.
Pharmacy manager Vahid Khalessi said vaccination was the single best way for people to protect themselves from the flu this winter.
“More people than ever are turning to their local pharmacist for flu vaccinations due to the convenience and ease of the service,” Mr Khalessi said.
“Flu vaccinations help your body develop antibodies against the flu.
“These antibodies develop in the body approximately two weeks after the vaccination is administered, and help fight off the type of flu that is present in your vaccine.”
Terry White Chemists Rockingham, soon to be Terry White Chemmart, is taking bookings and walk-in appointments for the quadrivalent flu vaccine. The flu vaccination service is completed within minutes by a trained and qualified pharmacist in a private consultation space, followed by a short period of observation.
Terry White Rockingham is opposite Coles inside Rockingham Centre.
Alison Moore, Vahid Khalessi, May Chaw and Karlie Read, of Terry White Chemist Rockingham, are excited to be able to provide vaccinations to the community this flu season.
