Callous cat shooting prompts warning to pet owners

Southern Telegraph - - Telegraph | Opinion - E Mottini, Rockingham

In the early hours of Tuesday, June 27 along Hennessy Way in Rockingham, our neighbour’s cat, Senator, was shot in the back with an air rifle. He managed to drag himself home where he was taken to the vets. The owners were told that he was paralysed and the best thing was to put him to sleep.

How someone could do such a thing to a defenceless pet is beyond me.

We lost a good friend and he will be sorely missed.

To all moggie owners: please keep your cats indoors at night time because you never know what sort of evil is lurking outside.
