Preg­nancy needs un­der the one roof

The staff have the ex­per­tise to guide through ev­ery as­pect of their preg­nancy.

The friendly, car­ing and ex­pe­ri­enced GP ob­ste­tri­cians and mid­wives at Wood­bridge Women’s Clinic can as­sist pa­tients from pre-con­cep­tion to post­na­tal care.

Mums and mums-to-be will be un­der the care of the clinic’s mid­wives or one of the four GP ob­ste­tri­cians, Dr Ed­ward Bou­verie, Dr Rebecca Pog­son, Dr Genevieve Hankey and Dr Raquel Diego.

The mid­wives and GPs all ac­tively work at Rock­ing­ham Gen­eral Hospi­tal and are equipped to cater for the unique, com­plex and di­verse preg­nancy needs which may arise.

The clinic of­fers an­te­na­tal classes and breast­feed­ing classes and the staff have the ex­per­tise to guide pa­tients through ev­ery as­pect of their preg­nancy.

Top­ics cov­ered in the an­te­na­tal class in­clude labour, de­liv­ery and post-natal care.

At the breast­feed­ing clin­ics, new mums or mums-to-be will have the op­por­tu­nity to speak with a qual­i­fied lac­ta­tion con­sul­tant. Post­na­tal care will in­volve checks after the baby is born to make sure both mum and bub are do­ing well and pro­vide the en­cour­age­ment and sup­port new mums need.

Things that might be dis­cussed in­clude feed­ing a baby, im­mu­ni­sa­tions, pap smears and con­tra­cep­tion.

The women’s clinic also of­fers pap smears, sex­ual health checks and ad­vice on menopause.

Doc­tors are also able to dis­cuss con­tra­cep­tion in­clud­ing, the pill, Im­planon rod or Mirena IUD.
