Vet to open doors
Baldivis Veterinary Hospital is giving people the opportunity to come and see behind the scenes of the day-to-day running of the hospital and to celebrate all things animalrelated at an open day next month.
The family-friendly event will provide people with the opportunity to meet the vets and vet nurses who provide animals with love and excellent veterinary care 24 hours a day.
Highlights of the open day will include hospital tours, health care tips, information on puppy school, horseshoeing demonstrations, a licensed bar, food and light refreshments and live entertainment.
There will also be plenty to do for children, including a bouncy castle, face painting and an animal farmyard and petting zoo.
Baldivis Veterinary Hospital marketing co-ordinator Kylie Soanes said the open day was about giving back to the community and letting residents know the hospital was there and committed to providing excellent care.
Baldivis Veterinary Hospital has been servicing the area for more than three decades and has grown from a small rural practice to a state-ofthe-art practice. Last year it opened its advanced surgery centre, which has been helping pets of all shapes and sizes.
Dr Stephen Rabie leads the advanced surgery centre and has a special interest in orthopaedics, including cruciate ligament surgeries and fracture repairs.
The open day will be held on April 8 at Baldivis Vet Hospital at 597 Baldivis Road, from 10am-4pm.
