Changing the guard

Southern Telegraph - - News -

KIC’s long standing President Dr David Honey was recently sworn into the State Parliament as the new Member for Cottesloe. David was Alcoa’s Global Residue Manager, and President of KIC for approaching six years. At a recent ‘going away’ function, David spoke highly of the work of KIC and its small team of dedicated staff who have achieved much for industry within the Western Trade Coast. David spoke about his KIC highlights over the years and made special mention of his fondness for the programs KIC runs under its Education Development Program banner. We wish David well, and look forward to him being the passionate advocate of the new port in Kwinana that we know he is. Replacing David as the President of KIC is Albert Romano, Manager LPG/LNG Production and Engineering, Wesfarmers CSBP. Albert has served as a Vice President for several years and was unanimously voted in as the new President at the recent meeting of the KIC Board. Albert brings a good deal of commercial acumen to the role.
