Animal cruelty high in suburbs

Southern Telegraph - - News -

New data released by RSPCA WA has revealed Baldivis, Rockingham and Mandurah are among some of the worst suburbs for recorded cases of animal cruelty in WA.

In support of the organisation’s ground breaking 20for20 campaign launched last week, the RSPCA WA’s latest data shows the three suburbs were continual hotspots for animal cruelty.

Locally Baldivis was the worst sub- urb so far this year with 29 reported cases of cruelty while Mandurah had 21 and Rockingham had 20.

The figures don’t bode well for Baldivis in particular, with the suburb topping the charts in 2016 as Perth’s number one spot for cruelty with 116 cases and a further 87 in 2017.

So far in 2018 the only suburbs worse than Baldivis were Midland and Armadale each with one more case of reported animal cruelty.
