Rockingham Rams roared back into form against the Waroona Demons on Sunday at Anniversary Park, crushing the 2017 grand finalists 32.12 (204) to 5.5 (35).

In one of the biggest blowouts of the 2018 Peel Football League season so far, the Rams destroyed Waroona in every facet of the game as they recorded a huge 169 point win that propelled them back into second on the ladder.

Spurred on by a performance which included 13 different goal kickers, the Rams blitzed Waroona early on as they opened up a 68point lead by quarter-time.

Things didn’t get any better for the visitors in the second term as they trailed a rampant Rams by 110 points at the main break.

Even though the game was well and truly over in the second half, Rockingham did not let up, with the likes of Tyler Sutton, Fraser Millar and Mitch Curnow piling on the misery for Waroona in the mas- sive win. Sutton finished with seven goals, while Fraser Millar booted five out of the midfield.

Curnow bagged three of his own in the win, while Christopher Oliver, Luke Dowling and William Zilko all kicked three goals each as well.

Rockingham coach Scott Franklin was delighted with the win and said everything clicked for the Rams.

“Our contested footy was awesome and our tackling pressure was awesome,” Franklin said.

“The thing we did better than what we have done the last few weeks is that we just moved the ball really well.

“Defensively, we were be able to kick our way through without the ball touching the ground.

“We’d go from one end to the other and finish it off so it was just one of those days where everything clicked, which was good.”

On Saturday night the Rams are sure to face a stiffer test as they battle Halls Head at Anniversary Park. Bouncedown is at 6pm.
