NAIDOC ac­tiv­i­ties en­ter­tain kids

Fam­i­lies vis­ited Kwinana Mar­ket Place Shop­ping Cen­tre last Wed­nes­day to join in NAIDOC cel­e­bra­tions.

Chil­dren heard from Abo­rig­i­nal sto­ry­tellers, watched tra­di­tional dance per­for­mances and joined in craft ac­tiv­i­ties.

A spe­cial mu­ral, which was painted by artists Ash­ley and Kelly Col­lard and Jarred Franey, was un­veiled with chil­dren in­vited to place their hand prints on the mu­ral in sup­port of NAIDOC cel­e­bra­tions.

The art piece was funded by The Smith Fam­ily and Ny­oon­gar Well­be­ing and Sports.
