Rockingham Bridge Club recently celebrated its 39th birthday.

The club hosted a week-long celebration with attendees enjoying cake and good company to ring in the 40th year of the classic game in the area.

Bridge was a “drawcard” at the birthday celebration with games played throughout the week, including in the Anniversary Pairs Competition.

Nicky O’Connell and Michael Fulwood claimed top spot in the Rockingham Bridge Club Anniversary Pairs tournament while Wendy Pollock and Elizabeth Hill were the Anniversary Pairs Under State Masters.

The week ended with a friendly challenge day when more than 45 players from Rockingham and Mandurah bridge clubs enjoyed a Sunday game of cards.
