Con­victed mur­derer launches ap­peal

The woman found guilty of killing 18-year-old Aaron Pa­jich-Sweet­man in Ore­lia in June 2016 will this week launch an ap­peal against her con­vic­tion.

Jemma Lil­ley, 26, was ear­lier this year found guilty of the sadis­tic mur­der of the teenager and sen­tenced to life im­pris­on­ment, with a 28-year min­i­mum, along­side her co-ac­cused, 44- year-old Trudi Len­non. Lil­ley launched the ap­peal in March on the grounds that the ver­dict was “un­rea­son­able and was not sup­ported by the ev­i­dence at trial”.
