Peel District Cycling Club had a successful meet at the State Championships Road Race in Dardanup at the weekend, with a number of riders winning their age groups.
Oliver Bleddyn won the under-17 men’s time trial, Dharlia Haimes came second in both the under-17 women’s time trial and road race, Tyler Lindorff won the under-19 men’s road race and time trial, Vanessa Baker finished second in the under-13 women’s road and
Colin Rose was third in the over-50 men’s race.
On Sunday, the West Coast Masters Cycling Council took to the Dog Hill circuit in Baldivis, with only eight riders lining up in A-grade. A bunch sprint saw Matt Upton finish first, Tom O’Neil second and Doug Stewart third.
With 21 riders, B-grade was entertaining, with Greg Gale first, John Liso second and Mark Hamill third.
