Bal­divis cheer­leader, model and dancer Kiara Tay­lor will com­pete for the crown of Miss Fash­ion Week Aus­tralia when she takes to the run­way in the na­tional fi­nal in Mel­bourne on Sun­day.

Kiara will rep­re­sent WA in the teen petite cat­e­gory, vy­ing for the na­tional ti­tle, $5000 and a trip to the US to com­pete in the Miss Fash­ion Week in­ter­na­tional fi­nal.

The Rock­ing­ham Flames and NRL Bull­dogs cheer­leader has a pas­sion for dance and putting a smile on peo­ple’s faces.

The Bal­divis Se­condary Col­lege stu­dent is also study­ing a Cer­tifi­cate IV in Dance at Aus­tralian Per­form­ing Arts Net­work, re­cently scor­ing a danc­ing role in Legally Blonde The Mu­si­cal.

“We did six shows back-to-back . . . I also got to work along­side Lynne McGranger from Home and Away, which was amaz­ing,” she said. Gear­ing up for the na­tional fi­nal, Kiara said she was ex­cited to be se­lected.

“(The State fi­nal) was my first pageant and I won both gymwear and evening-wear and went straight to the fi­nal,” she said.

“I get more ner­vous to walk down the cat­walk than I do when I’m on stage for a cheer com­pe­ti­tion but it’s good ex­pe­ri­ence.

Kiara thanked her spon­sors for their sup­port.
