Mu­sos hit the right note

An ar­ray of tal­ent was on show re­cently at the Act- Be­longCom­mit Break­through mu­sic com­pe­ti­tion grand fi­nal.

The fi­nal was held at the Rock­ing­ham Arts Cen­tre on Septem­ber 23 as part of the City of Rock­ing­ham’s Up Cy­cle Art Project Ex­hi­bi­tion.

Fi­nal­ists were se­lected based on per­for­mances in heats through­out Rock­ing­ham, Warn­bro and Se­cret Har­bour.

Ce­cilia Bran­dolini, of South Fre­man­tle, was the over­all win­ner in the se­nior divi­sion.

She took home $2500 prize money and a one-day stu­dio record­ing ses­sion, mu­sic video and photo shoot.

Se­cret Har­bour’s Rachael Elder will also hit the booths af­ter she placed sec­ond and picked up $500 prize money and a day record­ing ses­sion.

Ti­jana Simich, of Hamil­ton Hill, was third, win­ning $250 prize money and a photo shoot.

Meadow Springs teenager Brooke Bugeja won first prize in the ju­nior and Au­bin Grove’s Ree Peric came sec­ond, with Rock­ing­ham’s Ella Grace third.

The Act-Be­long-Com­mit Break­through mu­sic com­pe­ti­tion show­cased a va­ri­ety of tal­ent.
