Councillors give tick to budget review
The October, 2018 Budget Review was adopted by the City of Rockingham council last Tuesday, with the review highlighting how operating expenditure and operating revenue had decreased by $1.87 million and $2.84 million, respectively.
According to the review, the decline in operating revenue was because of prepayment of the Financial Assistance Grants 2018/19 grant income of $2.43 million, which was paid in advance in June.
Operating expenditure decreased, mainly because of reduction in the government refuse disposal levy because of low anticipated tonnage at landfill.
Meanwhile, non-operating expenditure and nonoperating revenue has increased by $4.02 million and $292,000 respectively.
