A range of free events and activities will be held across the City of Rockingham to mark Seniors Week 2018.
From November 11-17 the annual national event that celebrates seniors and recognises the positive contribution they have made to their local community will include nine events at the City’s libraries and Autumn Centre.
Mayor Barry Sammels said Seniors Week was a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the contribution older people make to the city.
“Seniors make up a significant proportion of our community, about 16 per cent of all residents, and the City highly values the contribution they make to our society,” Mr Sammels said.
“Seniors across our community have played a vital role in helping the city become the fantastic place that it is today.”
