CWA high tea a sweet suc­cess

More than 100 peo­ple at­tended CWA Rock­ing­ham branch’s char­ity fundrais­ing high tea at McLarty Hall on Oc­to­ber 13.

Raf­fle prizes and auc­tion items were do­nated by gen­er­ous lo­cal busi­nesses and mem­bers of the com­mu­nity and guests got into the swing of things with themed ta­bles, ser­e­nades from lo­cal mu­si­cian Feni, de­li­cious treats and lots of tea and cof­fee.

A stall was also held at Narage­bup En­vi­ron­ment Cen­tre’s an­nual open day, with branch mem­bers do­nat­ing hand­crafted items and home-baked treats for the bake sale ta­ble.

Both events raised more than $3300, with 10 per cent go­ing to the CWA of WA ad­min­is­tra­tion fund and the re­main­der to­wards branch char­i­ties, Vil­lage Women and Wanslea Fos­ter Care.
