Fes­tive fun in the City

Kwinana switched on its Christ­mas tree lights last Fri­day night, mark­ing the be­gin­ning of the City’s fes­tive cel­e­bra­tions.

The City will spread Christ­mas cheer this hol­i­days host­ing a se­ries of free com­mu­nity events in­clud­ing out­door movies and mar­kets.

Part­nered with the Vil­lage Mar­kets at Wel­lard, the Wel­lard Twi­light Christ­mas Mar­kets will kick off on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, run­ning from 4pm-8pm.

On Sun­day, De­cem­ber 9, there will be a book read­ing at the Dar­ius Wells Cen­tre from 1.30pm-2.30pm.

The Sum­mer Out­door Movie Nights kick off on De­cem­ber 22.

There will be a screen­ing of A Den­nis the Men­ace Christ­mas at Chisham Square, out­side the Dar­ius Wells Cen­tre with pre-movie en­ter­tain­ment from 6pm.

Fam­i­lies are en­cour­aged to bring a pic­nic and en­joy free movies and pop­corn un­der the stars.

On Christ­mas morn­ing the renowned Lolly Run will hit the streets of Kwinana, with Santa and his helpers de­liv­er­ing lol­lies and Christ­mas cheer. The Lolly Run from 7.30-11.30am, has been made pos­si­ble by Ro­tary Club of Kwinana and vol­un­teers.
