A police officer has appeared in court after being charged with aggravated sexual penetration without consent.

Daniel Gerald Back, 44, appeared in Rockingham Magistrate’s Court last Friday morning, but was not required to enter a plea.

The court was told that on September 24, while he was off duty, Mr Beck allegedly sexually penetrated the victim at a private residence.

He did not plead, but responded to the Magistrate to say he understood the charges.

Mr Beck is a sergeant within the Mandurah District and has been stood down from duties.

He will next appear in court in February.
