College named runner-up in STEM awards
Comet Bay College was last week named a runner-up in the Meritorious Leadership Award as part of the 2018 Governor’s School STEM Awards ceremony.
Established in 2015, the annual awards recognise WA schools that demonstrate excellence in leadership, teaching, collaboration and engagement in STEM education.
Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said it was important strong STEM skills were instilled in students to prepare them for the jobs of the future.
“Schools can develop and foster a lifelong passion for STEM learning,” she said.
Comet Bay College received a $1000 prize as part of the awards.
