Sister city Ako of no value to us

Southern Telegraph - - OPINION - Frank Sanders Rockingham

Once again, our delegation from Rockingham has graced the corridors of our sister city in Japan at the expense, and little interest, of the residents of Rockingham.

Would it perhaps gain favour if it was of European origin that would associate with the founders and history of our State?

The value of this trip is negligible seeing that after 20 years of friendship with Ako, we don’t seem to have attracted many tourists or benefits.

The delegation should take a trip to Mandurah or Scarborough and see how a progressive council operates.

Too long Rockingham has been a hidden gem. It is now time to reveal ourselves and move with the times.
