Time to nominate outstanding West Australians

Southern Telegraph - - NEWS -

There is less than a month to nominate for the next Western Australian of the Year Awards, with residents from across the State encouraged to apply.

The seven award categories are the Aboriginal award, arts and culture award, business award, community award, professions award, sport award and youth award.

The finalists for each category are announced in April, with the winners set to be named on the evening of Friday, May 31.

Celebrate WA chairman Michael Anghie said he encouraged all West Australians to consider the outstanding people they had encountered for nomination.

“Every year, the calibre of finalists never ceases to amaze me,” he said.

“I am sure 2019 will produce another group of high- calibre individuals who are pursuing important goals in a dedicated and selfless way.”
