Change Peron to class A reserve
I am in total agreement with Dawn Jecks’ letter ( Save Peron, make it a class A reserve, 23/ 01).
The land is supposed to be public property, so how large companies can obtain it for practically nothing is anybody’s guess.
As Dawn quite rightly says, the area needs to be gazetted through legislation as a class A reserve.
In the meantime, will there be any more attempts by developers to grab any portion of the land to bulldoze and build on?
After all, given that the publicly funded compensation package is so generous, what have they got to lose?
