Cancer cause raises funds
A Rockingham medical centre raised more than $1000 for the Cancer Council over the weekend while promoting the dream of a skin cancer-free future.
Samy Medical Practice hosted a sausage sizzle on Saturday, with all proceeds to Cancer Council, and also offered skin checks.
“Because one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime,” Dr Christabel Samy said. “I’m bringing everyone together to raise funds and show my support.
“We wholeheartedly thank all for your support and generous donations.
“As a community we can come together to help those in need.
“This event was fully supported by Skin Cancer Australia and all proceeds will be given to carry out their task of saving lives from cancer.”
The practice raised $1037.
