Bingo green light for se­niors’ cen­tre

Bingo will con­tinue at the Kwinana Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Cen­tre af­ter City of Kwinana coun­cil­lors agreed to re­new its ap­proval of the premises for gam­ing ac­tiv­i­ties at last Wednes­day’s coun­cil meet­ing.

The cen­tre’s ex­ist­ing ap­proval for gam­ing was due to ex­pire on Wednes­day and an ap­pli­ca­tion was made by the club to the De­part­ment of Rac­ing, Gam­ing and Liquor for its re­newal.

As part of the ap­pli­ca­tion process, a cer­tifi­cate of Lo­cal Govern­ment Author­ity was also re­quired, with ap­proval by the City of Kwinanaa coun­cil sought by the club for gam­ing to be con­ducted in the main hall of the premises for a fiveyear pe­riod from the date of ap­proval by the DRGL.

Coun­cil­lors au­tho­rised the direc­tor of city reg­u­la­tions to is­sue a cer­tifi­cate con­firm­ing the use of the premises for bingo. Bingo is held at the cen­tre in Med­ina on Mon­days and Wed­nes­days from 12.45pm-2.45pm.
