Bingo green light for seniors’ centre
Bingo will continue at the Kwinana Senior Citizens Centre after City of Kwinana councillors agreed to renew its approval of the premises for gaming activities at last Wednesday’s council meeting.
The centre’s existing approval for gaming was due to expire on Wednesday and an application was made by the club to the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor for its renewal.
As part of the application process, a certificate of Local Government Authority was also required, with approval by the City of Kwinanaa council sought by the club for gaming to be conducted in the main hall of the premises for a fiveyear period from the date of approval by the DRGL.
Councillors authorised the director of city regulations to issue a certificate confirming the use of the premises for bingo. Bingo is held at the centre in Medina on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12.45pm-2.45pm.
