Man ac­cused of pimp­ing out child as a pros­ti­tute

A Kwinana man fac­ing charges that he pimped out a child as a pros­ti­tute and claimed the money for him­self has ap­peared in court.

Ben­jamin Al­lan Mitz ap­peared in Rock­ing­ham Mag­is­trate’s Court via video link from Hakea Prison last Wed­nes­day, where prose­cu­tors brought an ad­di­tional charge of breach­ing a re­strain­ing or­der.

He is also charged with caus­ing or per­mit­ting a child to act as a pros­ti­tute and ob­tain­ing pay­ment for pros­ti­tu­tion by a child, an­other three charges of breach­ing a re­strain­ing or­der, crim­i­nal dam­age or de­struc­tion of property, threat­en­ing to in­jure, en­dan­ger or harm a per­son, and ag­gra­vated as­sault.

He will next ap­pear in court on May 22.
